The smudge of blood on the suicide note meant it was written after Roger Clarke was shot. Since his injury was instantly fatal, he could not have written the note. There was no forced entry, which meant the killer had to have a key to the house. Lisa acknowledged that no one else had a key, so it had to be her. The presence of gunshot residue on her hands and the absence of gunshot residue on Barry’s hands sealed the deal.
