A Forensic Handwriting Mystery (Book #7)
Reviewed by Cherie Jung
Handwriting expert Claudia Rose returns in this seventh book of the popular Forensic Handwriting series. She is tasked with examining a newly presented, handwritten will that appears to disinherit the expected beneficiary of Professor Madeleine Maynard’s fortune.
Coerced by a close friend, Claudia has also agreed to an in prison interview with Roxanne Becker, a convicted serial killer, and to retrieve a manuscript Professor Maynard was writing on Becker.
Claudia finds herself in Maine, in the middle of winter, trapped in an isolated cabin by a blizzard and a killer.
I like the Claudia Rose character. She’s sassy and competent.
There are twists and turns, intriguing yet credible characters, and plenty of suspects to delight fans of psychological suspense. Though this book is part of an established series, readers new to the series will have no difficulty in beginning with this book.
For those not familiar with Ms. Lowe’s background, she is a forensic handwriting expert.
