Fairview Fugitive

A Sheriff Marge Crump Mystery

By S. Furlong-Bolliger

Since the armored delivery arrived late, Mr. Gilmore had to stay through part of his lunch break to count the money. That means only he and the thief knew the exact amount. Irene gave herself away when she tried to frame Gilmore for the theft by saying that he lost ten thousand dollars gambling.

Harvey shook his head. "Sorry the thief turned out to be one of the ladies from your bridge club."

Marge smiled. "Don't be, Harvey. She always cheated at cards, too."
