Murder in Fairview

A Sheriff Marge Crump Mystery

By S. Furlong-Bolliger

After discovering that money was embezzled from the company, Marge knew that one of the agency's employees had the most motive to kill Mr. Jarvis. The note he left behind practically spelled out that person's name. Afraid that the murderer might come back and clean up the scene, Mr. Jarvis wrote the word "same" on both the front and back of a piece of paper — a clever way of saying that the killer's name was spelled the same from the front and back.

Marge cuffed Eve and ordered Harvey to haul her down to the station for more questioning.

"Guess we won't need to call in the State Police after all," Harvey said, giving Marge a congratulatory pat on the back.
