This is a very entertaining book in which the sleuth's pet (a Bassett Hound) is convinced he is the reincarnation of Elvis Presley.

Callie Valentine and her almost-ex, Jack Jones, have a funeral home. Suddenly, the corpse goes missing and they need to find who would have wanted to steal it and why.

It's a very hilarious story, even silly sometimes. Something I liked is that the story alternates the points of view of Callie with those of the dog. And, as silly as it feels to read what the dog says, he gets to comment and tell the readers important information to help you solve the case.

In my opinion, this book is truly amusing although the mystery itself is a little weak. Maybe in the following books of the series, the author (who is mostly devoted to romance writing) will perfect the crafting of the mystery plots.
