Belle Palmer is a realtor showing a lakefront mansion to prospective buyers when they stumble upon the body of the owner, lying nude in the bathtub, strangled. (There goes her hefty commission!) Is this death part of a series of recent strangulations or something more?

To say more, would spoil the fun of reading the book. There are plenty of twists and turns and it will be even more fun if you can keep from reading the book blurb on the back of the book. Those things always give away too much of the story, I think!

The setting is northern Ontario, Canada. The characters are fully developed and well written. Readers will quickly care about Belle and her plight. And for those who think a mystery isn't quite complete without a dog, there's Freya, Belle's German sheperd.

The author has a breezy, conversational writing style that readers will enjoy.

I am looking forward to more adventures with Belle and Freya!

Other titles in this series include: NORTHERN WINTERS ARE MURDER, BLACK FLIES ARE MURDER and BUSH POODLES ARE MURDER.
