The series is set in Melbourne, Australia. The premise is a husband and wife duo (hence the Mr.  & Mrs.) operate a crime-scene clean-up business with many referrals coming from their friend who is a homicide detective. While it may sound a bit gruesome, the series is actually a light-hearted cozy where the cleaners stick their curious noses into the detective’s on-going
investigation while getting the crime-scene back to the “as if it never happened” state.

The “Mr. & Mrs.,” aka: Charlie and Nicola Buchanan (Shaun Micallef and Kat Stewart), share a quirky sense of humor which may put some viewers off at first but with a little persistence, on the part of the viewer, the Buchanans may endear themselves to said viewer or at least become tolerable. In my case, it’s the latter. Or …maybe I just don’t get Australian humor? Overall, the stories move right along and are fun to watch.

I would suggest viewers unfamiliar with this series rent a sample. (With 13 episodes, the series is recorded on several discs. Companies such as Netflix allow subscribers to rent a single disc.) If, after viewing a sample and you enjoy it, you can purchase the set. Don’t forget that some outlets price the series far below the suggested retail price, but it’s still a pricey gamble if it turns out the comedy and the series is “not your cup of tea,” as they say.

There is no word on a second season.
