A Sally Solari mystery (Book #2)
by Cherie Jung
Things are a bit hectic as Sally tries to juggle choir practice with helping out at her family’s Italian restaurant, Solari’s, and organizing the menu for Gauguin, the restaurant she inherited. At the first rehearsal of a newly discovered interpretation of Mozart’s Requiem a choir member tumbles to his death – and it may not have been an accident.
The characters were engaging. I like a plucky female amateur sleuth who has a sense of humor.
The mix of classical music and culinary exploits was appealing to me. I think readers who really enjoy food-oriented mysteries will enjoy this book. The author has a good sense of pacing, an interesting setting, and a storyline that should please and entertain most readers. And yes, the book contains several recipes!
This is the first book I’ve read in this fun culinary cozy series. I look forward to reading more.
The first novel in this series is DYING FOR A TASTE.
