THE CART BEFORE THE CORPSE (a Merry Abbot Carriage-Driving Mystery) is the first in a new series that is a spin-off from the popular Mossy Creek Hometown novels from Bell Bridge Books. Readers not familiar with the Mossy Creek series may be familiar with one of the other popular series from this publisher; DIXIE DIVAS by Virginia Brown or the Daphne Martin “Murder-solving Cake Decorator” series by Gayle Trent.
An unexpected death sends Merry Abbott to Mossy Creek. She works as a horse show manager and trainer. She was just finishing up a show in Chattanooga when she received a disturbing call from a sheriff in Bigelow, in northern Georgia, near Mossy Creek.
Fans of Southern mysteries will be delighted with this new series as will readers who may not already be fans. Merideth (Merry) Abbott is a delightful addition to the spunky heroine ranks!
