SOHO CRIME is presenting the 20th anniversary edition of the very first title they released, JADE LADY BURNING by Martin Limón. For those not familiar with this popular series, it features Sergeants George Sueño and Ernie Bascon, U.S. Military Police for the U.S. 8th Army, stationed in South Korea. There are seven titles in the series. If you've been meaning to look into it, here's your chance.

As in many areas where U. S. military personnel remain stationed long after an official conflict has ended, the locals distrust and dislike the soldiers who remain. Some of the local citizens hate the soldiers' very presence and their mingling with the natives, in this case, the soldiers' drinking and carousing with Korean women. When Pak Ok-Suk is found murdered in the Itaewon "red-light" district of Seoul, suspicion falls on her boyfriend, an American soldier. Sergeants Sueño and Bascom are assigned to investigate. As things develop, it seems no one wants this case pursued; not the U. S. Military Command or the Koreans. Sergeants Sueño and Bascom don't believe the soldier committed the crime. They continue to investigate, despite pressure to stop.

JADE LADY BURNING is a thrilling read filled with atmosphere and excitement, set in Korea. And readers who are new to the series are in luck. There are more Sueño and Bascom adventures just waiting to be read!
