The FAMILY MATTERS: MURDER NEW YORK STYLE anthology features twenty short stories by members of the New York – Tri-State chapter of Sisters in Crime.
These stories present a nice mix of murder, mayhem, and suspense as well as a good mix of protagonists; amateur sleuths, professional investigators, cops. Although some stories are darker in tone than others, each has its own fascination that will keep the reader turning pages until the very end. Readers will be easily engaged with the stories and I dare say most readers will find several stories to their liking, if not all of them.
My favorite stories in the anthology involved dysfunctional characters and stories with a twist. I tried to narrow my “favorites” list down to just a few stories but I couldn’t. I don’t want to spoil anyone’s enjoyment of these tales by writing any specific details down. Do yourself a favor, buy the book, and become engrossed in the twenty stories. I’ll bet you can’t just read one…
Stories are included by the following authors: Triss Stein, Deirdre Verne, Catherine Maiorisi, Terrie Farley Moran, Lindsay A. Curcio, Cathi Stoler, Cynthia Benjamin, Elizabeth Zelvin, Dorothy Mortman, Fran Bannigan Cox, Kate Lincoln, Leigh Neely, Eileen Dunbaugh, Ellen Quint, Clare Toohey, Lynne Lederman, Stephanie Wilson-Flaherty, Anne-Marie Sutton, Roslyn Siegel, and Anita Page.
