BLOOD OVER BADGE brings two seemingly unrelated crimes together which make no sense to the investigating cops. The Mayor of San Francisco's daughter is murdered. Jack Paige and Casey Ford are the two police detectives assigned to the case. Their pursuit of the brutal killer/rapist leads them from California to Texas. As leads are developed, an inmate from Angola Penitentiary claims to have vital knowledge about the case. Can that even be possible? The detectives are skeptical but must investigate the inmate's claim.
The author is a 28-year veteran working with the San Jose, California police department. He has a wide experience of policing including 10 years as a street cop and hostage negotiator. He has also worked undercover assignments in Child Pornography and Vice. He brings a "cop's eye view" to the narrative and dialogue. Police procedural fans will enjoy this crime thriller written by someone who really knows his way around the story because he has lived it. I look forward to more from this author whether he continues writing a series or stand alone novels.
