Barry Baskerville, boy detective, returns in his fifth crime-solving adventure. He is an admirer of the great private consulting detective Sherlock Holmes and likes to dazzle his parents, his friends, and his teachers with his quick wit and problem-solving skills, much to their annoyance.

In BARRY BASKERVILLE’S MARVELOUS MEMORY he deduces that two salespeople are really scam artists.

Young readers will love Barry because, like many precocious kids, he can be so irritating to adults and to his friends, yet in the end, he saves the day.

This is an outstanding series which shows young readers, in an easy to understand way, the value of critical thinking, making close observations, and logical deductions, in order to become more effective at problem solving.

As an older person, I love this series, too…and must admit that Barry bested me again with his logic problem.
