Kim Reynolds' desires for a "normal" life with Mike, her policeman lover, are dashed when his not-so-ex wife turns up; even more so when the "ex" turns up dead. Did Mike use a more permanent solution on the ex-wife than a simple divorce?
The Kim Reynolds character is sure to intrigue and delight new readers, as well as those who are already ardent fans. She is a librarian and a reluctant crime solver with psychic powers.
The author has a knack for pacing and is quite skilled at developing her characters. But the best thing about this book, for me, is that the author is a true storyteller. She draws the reader in as she begins the tale then keeps the reader close from page to page. It is nearly impossible to put this book down until the very end and even then, the reader is likely to wish the story had never ended because the experience was so intense and satisfying. If we still told tales around a campfire at midnight, I would want to be seated at Ms. Seewald's campfire, that's for sure.
Previous titles in the Kim Reynolds series: THE INFERNO COLLECTION, THE DROWNING POOL, and THE TRUTH SLEUTH.
